BOOKS & SHORT STORIES

A narrow Japanese alleyway lined with traditional wooden storefronts and lanterns, with overhead wires and a blue sky visible at dusk. Superimposed text reads 'Beyond the RopeLine,' with smaller text stating 'A Mount Fuji Horror Story' and 'Julia Dunt' at the bottom.

Beyond the Rope Line

Don't step off the trail. Don't cross the rope line. The spirits beyond it are vengeful.

Jess Carter doesn't believe in spirits, and she certainly doesn't need anyone telling her what to do. When her friends cancel a long-awaited trip to Mount Fuji, she goes anyway, determined to prove she can handle the adventure alone. But after becoming separated from her tour group in a sea of fog, Jess finds herself trapped beyond the mountain's rope boundaries with only a stranger named Nathan Cross for company.

As strange cries echo through the forest and something lurks in the mist, stalking them, every instinct tells Jess to rely on herself. Unfortunately, her instincts may be the very thing that gets them killed.
